An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a large accountancy practice. With offices throughout the UK, a proven track record of enabling study, development and propelling the career progression of its employees, this is an excellent opportunity for dedicated accounting professionals.

 

As the successful candidate you will be a senior member of the team, responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function with the highest standards of professionalism and quality of service to a varied client base. You will have demonstrable experience within practice and of the supervision and training of juniors. You will enjoy leading by example and be up to date in your technical experience and competence in accounts preparation.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage a portfolio of account clients and be their main point of contact. This will be a mixture of companies, LLPs, Partnerships, and sole traders, in a variety of industries
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships
  • Prepare financial statements and year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards
  • Ensure that work is delivered within budget and time requirements
  • Prepare schedules for Tax returns
  • Complete VAT returns, Company Accounts and CT600s
  • Liaise with 3rd parties as required (HMRC, mortgage brokers, other members of your team, payroll bureau, etc)
  • Provide effective supervision & training of junior team members
  • AAT/ ACCA/ QBE
  • Ability to travel to client premises from time to time and between offices
