£35,000 - £40,000 DOE




This is an exciting opportunity to join a local charity, that champions and leads in education within food, farming and a sustainable environment. Responsible for managing the operations of a prestigious events venue within a prime location, our client has been a pinnacle within the community for more than 125 years.


Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be a key part of a small senior management team responsible for the overall success of the organisation. The main function of this role is to develop and manage the marketing activities to meet the needs of the organisation, the shows and the events.




  • Design and agree a 3 Year Marketing Plan and Budget with the CEO. This plan will be reviewed annually and presented by you to the board
  • Promote our events including major annual, county-wide, shows
  • Support the marketing of events held within the venue
  • Set and monitor monthly targets to achieve overall budgets and report, monthly, to CEO
  • Deliver marketing objectives that have been agreed in advance with the CEO
  • Oversee the Social Media Strategy including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc
  • Oversee the Digital Marketing Strategy, including google AdWords and digital advertising
  • Manage the annual PR & Communications plan, liaising with an external PR Company
  • Manage the marketing team - This will include setting clearly defined objectives and monitoring their performance against these objectives
  • Monitor and report the results of ongoing promotional campaigns monthly
  • Be responsible for the design and procurement of all Sales and Marketing Resources including Websites, advertising, and promotional materials
  • Research and develop new ways of marketing the venue, its events and facilities
  • Work effectively and professionally with external agencies
  • Develop the use of all current and new communication channels to inform, retain and attract new and existing members, customers and events
  • Design marketing and sales campaigns and analyse their effectiveness
  • Within the scope of this role ensure full compliance with the requirements of all applicable legislation


As the successful candidate, you will have experience within a similar role, be a confident content creator (incl. press releases and blog posts), and have a track record of managing digital marketing campaigns. We are seeking a hands-on individual who is an excellent communicator and confident in networking within the business community and prepared to attend business events to develop contacts etc.
